Structures II is an exhibition of ongoing material and process exploration by Rowe.
The scale and complexity of the forms has evolved over time. Four different clay bodies and a range of specially formulated glazes have been utilised in their making. This unfettered process of working with clay offers an exploration of making, material and process.
Whilst Structures II has an undeniable connection to architecture and the built environment, this kind of engagement with both the material and the process of making give the works an immediate quality.
Structures II was exhibited with Hub Furniture Melbourne in November 2016
